Women like to visit as many shops as possible, trying on then changing their minds. Men just think what they want and once they see it buy it and get home as fast as they can. Is it really the Mars
v Venus thing.............Or is it something else?

That is not true. I can attest to this.

Really is Mars vs Venue - ever noticed that a woman shops and always buys the first thing she sees, despite shoppin for another 3 hours. With men they see something, they like it they buy it - simple as. With women the importance of an event inspires the shopping moment and hence the got to get it right attitude. With men, unless for a wedding etc, wot they like is what will do

Depends on a man and depends on a woman.
Sometimes I spend a few hours shopping and still cannot find anything and another time only 30 min. You have to find a suitable colour, check whether it sits on the body properly. It is a waste of money and time if you do not invest time in buying good clothes.

Men also say that women gossip a lot and the research shows that men gossip more than women.
Men also say that women look more in the mirror than men and they actually check themselves in the mirror more than women.

Shopping feels really good, so women often shop when they feel sad, depressed, lonely, happy, excited whatever. Men usually know what product they need to assist with whatever they are trying to do. So they go in and get out. It might be a Venus Mars thing.

I must have turned into a man then as I hate trailing round shops trying on clothes. I usually buy things by mail order - once you find a firm that has a size & style that suits you, it's a lot easier. For the smaller woman I can recommend La Redoute as they have size 6 upwards & the French styles are a bit different from English ones.

Why are men's undergarments just called "underwear" and female undergarments called "insert one of the 50 buhjillion names here". My Youth Pastor actually loves shopping, while his wife hates it. Really it depends on the situation, my mom can go to the grocery store and find what she needs in a manner of minutes, whilst my father can spend half an hour staring blankly at the icecream section. However, in the category of clothes, your assumption is almost completely correct.

It's because some (not all, my best straight guy friend loves to shop!) men don't like to stay in the mall and shop, they just like to get what they want and get out because they don't like wasting time and pondering over what to buy. Alot of guys even just hate the mall.

The difference is that men buy what they like and don't worry what other people think and we just have a better understanding of who we are because all we think about is ourselves so that way life isn't so complicated. If we are thinking about someone else then you know we want something in return.

I think men act like that because we evolved to be hunters - go out and get it, bring it home and eat it, screw it or whatever.
I can't think of a good theory why women go all out for shopping though. Maybe they're just mad.

It's a Mars v Venus thing.

Men are more aggressive / decisive / logical, woman more co-operative / indecisive / emotional.

Men say 'does it fit ?' (and can make a decision without seeing the rest) women say 'do I like it ?' (and 'do I like it more than the other 1,000 on sale today ?')
