All you do is find sources, pick out information from each source, and then put it in your paper. Then you put something called parenthetical documentation after the part where you put it in your essay.

The parenthetical documentation will look like this:
(Author or editor, page)

Then your last page will be called a "words cited" page. You can use a program to do that. I use the citation machine website, and I just choose the "MLA" documentation. MLA is the standard method of citing sources.

MLA format is the way you place your heading of your paper. It doesn't involve the actual paper. We have to use this format at school. Here is an example. (it is always double spaced)

Your name

Teacher's Name

Name of Class

Class Period (if there is one)

Date paper is due

After you do this heading, space down 4 spaces and center the title of your paper. Indent your paragraphs. I hope this helped.
