You are going to have to build an enclosure. It is a lot cheaper, and a lot lighter than buying a large enough tank to meet the requirements of these snakes. A MINIMUM 4ft by 24in by 24in should be made ( Bigger is always better though.) If it was properly fed...it will be between 5-7 feet long, and if it isn't that big then it isn't done growing. I also would recommend using indoor/outdoor carpeting, aspen, or natural bark substrates. I wouldn't suggest using newspaper AT ALL!

My red tail boa is as nice as my corn snake. Some snakes are meaner than others not all red tail boas. If you can find a bigger cage then I reccomend the snake I think they are awesome. A 55 would be fine for over a year but when it gets bigger you might need a 100 gallon. If yours does only get 5-6 feet then you don't need to feed it bunnies I think that is for the 8 footers but I'm not so sure. Good luck to you

A 185 gallon would be good until he gets about 8 ft.

Bigger is always better for an adult snake. He needs to have enough room to easily move around and regulate his temperature. I'm not sure exactly how many gallons you would need though.
