T.S. Eliot is probably my favorite poet. I love how stream of consciousness yet organized his poetry is, and I love the imagery. To me, it's structured without being too structured (things like sonnets tend to bore me) and it's unconventional without being all-out weird like some poetry is.

Favorite author? Probably, overall, it's either Ernest Hemingway or Vladimir Nabokov. It's really difficult for me to choose a favorite author because I haven't read a lot of novels by either of them, but the ones that I have read I loved. Hemingway is because I love the simplicity and the depth of emotion put into simple words and Nabokov because I love how lyrical his style is. Every sentence is a work of art.

I would say Margaret Atwood, but I've only read one book by her and thus don't feel comfortable saying she's my favorite, but the book by her that I have read (Oryx and Crake) is my favorite novel. Because the characterization was amazing and the writing was beautiful without being too wordy.

Poet: Robert Service
Author: Too many to count right now, but my choice of the moment is either Matthew Reilly or the duo of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.

John Fante is my favorite author because his prose has this wordly air about it. Also, he is about the coolest depression-era writer in my opinion.
