Is anyone else tired of teh coverage the stupid comments by Tim Hardaway are still getting?

Ok, his comments were stupid and ignorant. But to dedicate as much time as ESPN TV and Radio, Fox Sports and the other news channels are to the comments is a bit overboard. Dont you think we would all be better served to ignore stupid people who make comments like that?

You had to know the press would find someone to make these type of comments, that's what they get paid for. I think his comments were pretty ignorant, but you have to consider where he is coming from, in an enviroment where a lot of people hold these beliefs and it's so important to be tough. What he said is still wrong, but if he'd grown up in a nice suburban neighborhood it would be worse...He shouldn't get a free pass, but it should be taken into context. He was a great player in the day.

I just don't get the whole homophobic thing, except for in a prison setting. What is there to fear? I can respect if he doesn't want to hang out with him, but what gay guy is going to make a move on someone, especially in an aggressive manner, in that kind of setting? It's the gays who are always subjected to violence and not vice versa. With the world population being what it is, what's the big deal if a few people are gay? It's not like they're going to make the rest of us become gay, if you're not you're not period. If anything it frees up a few more women for the guys. I remember my friend in high school used to always say, "that's two more (expletive) for me!"

I agree! His comments were uncalled for!! He should've kept his comments to himself! It made him look like more of a *** then he is!
