the old cauking has yellowed and shrunk below the lino. level. if it is cleaned real good,will 100% rubber silicone adhere to the old caulking ??

You should remove the old caulking before re caulking. screpe away fun! For a toilet you should use grout. not caulk. use a color close to the toilet or floor. It will keep the toilet from rocking and sit completely solid.

old caulk usually comes out pretty easy cause it sticks to itself real good. once u get it started it will peel off. Redo it, you'll like the result better. clean the area then recaulk. Don't use the shower for a day if you can. The toilet is for looks only.

you need to remove the old caulk by scraping it out then replace with a mildew resistant one since it gets wet..
