well if u really think about it, the PS3 is better than a PC for a couple of good reasons. there will be more games for the PS3 than the PC and this games will be around for over 5 years without needing a new graphics card or a faster ram, unlike the PC. every new cool game needs a better graphics card, example CRYSIS, and a powerful graphics card cost around $300+. unlike the PS3, the designers try to get the best they can out of the PS3 hardware. im looking foward to play the new game CRYSIS, but my GEFORCE 6800 won't be able to make it look as good as is supposed to, so now if i want to play the game at it's maximum resolution i have to buy the GEFORCE 8800(the only that has DX10) and spend $500, and then $229 on a 2gig RAM. so u see, the PC's can play games for only a year or two and then u have to spend $ to make the computer better and play newer games

Save yourself some money by buying the xbox 360. It has better HD graphics, a huge fan base on xbox live and you end up saving about $200-$300. You can then use that money on games. PS3 is really on the downfall right now. XBOX 360 is much better. Quite frankly, I'm in love with my xbox 360 as you can tell =]
Not to mention all of the great features on the 360. If you buy a PS3, you're headed the wrong way.

in my mind game play is more important than graphics that why i chose the Wii but to answer your question the PS3 has a blue ray dvd plzyer which would cost some 1000 bucks and has much better quality than what a PC would have so for games the PS3 would be better and i am more a Nintendo Guy

I say Pcs are way better than PS3s. Think of all the different types of game on a PC. Plus, you can find free games online :D
I think the PS3 is sort of a ripoff.

Neither Xbox 360 is what your looking for trust me. It offers you the same as a PS3 and PC and more. Only thing it lacks is a web browser but thats what i have a computer for. You can rent movies on it for cheap, download and keep you favorite tv shows. Also coming soon live tv feed its basically a home entertainment center in every way.

The PC is the best for gaming, because you can always upgrade it.
10 years from now, you can still upgrade your PC. Sony will be onto the PS4, because the PS3 would be obsolete by then.

well there is nothing better than a pc ( or a mac) but a ps3 there are much better stuff to spend 700$ on

PC hands down. Blu-Ray Resistance Fall of Man who cares. 83% percent of games that come out for consoles come out for the PC. And if your parents can afford it(lol!) World of Warcraft is a blast.The only bad thing about World of Warcraft is that it takes 10 hours to download. And to get the Burning Crusade on your PC you need to uninstall the regular World of Warcraft then install it again THEN install the Burning Crusade expansion. For a total that takes 30 hours.

a ps3 is. you can do just about everything on the ps3 that you can on a pc. and the ps3 is better for playgames and watching movies.

pc is better. they make way better games for it and there is so much stuff you can do with it. the ps3 is way over when you can buy a ps2 and play the same games
