I'm a 20-something moving to Dallas this summer from St. Louis. In St. Louis, we have free newspapers and magazines that feature unique events going on in the city--art openings, cultural festivals, parades, restaurant/club openings, zoo events, plays, and new yoga studio openings. Is there a paper like this in Dallas to keep me updated in what is going on each month/week?

The magazine is called Quick, it is a short magazine version of the Dallas Morning News, and has every concert, and event listing.

In San Antonio, every Friday is a listing of the things happening in San Antonio for the week. Just google the Dallas newspapers and I am sure they have a similar thing going.

I agree about Quick and the Observer. There's also Guide Live. It's in Friday's Dallas Morning News, or you can get it online at guidelive.com.

go onto guidelive.com they provide all kinds of events going on in the DFW area. if that's not helpful (which believe me it will be), try the Dallas Observer.
