what drives your life? We all have a force, an object or a goal in our lives that drives us to be better than we are or to obtain more than we have, be it God, family, money, power etc...

For me it was a moment. When I felt all was lost and was ready to give up and die. 11 medicines 3 times a day, the loss of my hair and the inability to function at school. I went in for my routine treatment, the doc looked at me and said over the last month the cancer subsided and went into remission. It was gone, it was my momment I had prayed for for almost 2 years. It was the brightest day of my life to this day. I remember it vividly 11 years later as I remember the day I was diagnosed.

What drives your life to be better? We dont have much time. No matter what religion you follow, the little time we have here is nothing comparred to eternity. I ask myself often, 'What are you doing to make your life better?'.

How bout you? What keeps you going?

I am an ambitious person, and my goals drive me evryday to get there.

When I look at other people who worked hard to acheive their success, Im driven to do well like them instead of turning green- eyed and sitting on my ***.

But of course faith and confidence are the side-dish to go with it.

My passion for helping others. I was one of those teenagers who "cried out for help" through rebellious behavior. I always felt like no one understood me or how I was feeling or even what I was going through. Well, be as those days are long gone, I made a vow to myself to never forget those feelings. I am a psychology major, and my long term goal is to work with teenagers. I worked at a group home for awhile, with boys with behavioral problems, and a lot of the boys really opened up to me. One child actually improved so much that he got to go back home. Due to circumstances with child care (I'm a single mother ) I had to resign, and now I' working with children with developmental disabilities for now.
To me, being able to just listen is such a big factor. Watching a 15 year old boy, who has been brought up in a hostile environment and taught to be tough, break down and cry, was the most intense feeling ever. I just know that my life's calling is to help, and knowing that I actually make an impact is a feeling I can't describe. So all though it's tough working, going to classes and raising my son alone, my passion keeps me going and pushes me ahead.

Congratulations on beating cancer!!! I know a few people who have passed away due to cancer. I'm constantly donaing to cancer societies (lung and breast usually). My grandfather was a doctor, and him and his colleges researched cancer (I'm not exactly sure what), and as fate had it, he passed away from lung cancer that spread to his colon and intestines. So keep strong, and keep sharing your story- you never know who you'll inspire : )

What drives me to success is other people not believing in me and telling me I,m not smart enough or to lazy Etc.
That allway makes me work harder to porve everybody else wrong.
I have always been the underdog my entire life.
The last goal I achived I became a Systems administrator playing with servers within a year I was'nt expecting to achive that goal for about 5 years.
The moral of the story is, If you lay out your goals and write out a plan to achive them and work harder then anybody else
you will be surprised at what you can achive.

You have no idea how much I worry about the time I loose, but I can't seem to get anywhere. The thing that drives me is picturing myself with money, a house, cars and a wife, that's why I keep going.

Growing up both of my parents went through a lot! My mom was a drug addict, and my dad was in prison for most of my childhood. My mom eventually got her act together, but not before my sister and I were taken away from her. I am very proud of her today, she is doing very well, and has 15 years clean and sober. But I learned from their mistakes. My mom never kept secrets from me, she told me a lot of what she went through even through her worst days, and I have been determined to be successful, and not be like my parents. Don't get me wrong I love them both, but I want to be better.

The saying
"EASY COME EASY GO" is absolutely right.

who lost the sight evaluate the light
who lost the health evaluate moan fade to ends
Most of ppl waste their lives aimlessly.

We have to do much more to soothe pain of each other, supporting those who are in need to us...life is short and tough, but if we put hands in hands it will pass easily.

Survival. A strong need to survive everything that encumbers me and move forward until the end.

Love, love for the one person that I care so dearly about. Whether I ever have my chance to show my affection or not, it is one thing in my life that drives me.

Another is my ever-unsatisfied thirst for knowledge, I wish that I could learn everything.

I tell myself every morning that whatever I do, whether in word or in deed, I do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
