My mom and i got into a argument and she became upset and told me and my daughter to get out, so i called my boyfriend and asked if me and my daughter could stay with him for a couple days just until i got in touch with my father and he told me that he was with his kids and that he couldn't talk at the moment and hung up the phone on me while i was crying. Then about two hours later he called me back and said that he was on his way to come and pick me and my daughter up, but i told him not to come because i had already got in touch with my dad and i gave him a piece of my mind by telling him that him being with his kids who are adults by the way is not and excuse for neglecting me in my time of need . I felt as if he should have came and got me as soon as i called him.

If it was a dealbreaker for you, it was a dealbreaker for you. Make sure your next guy knows that you have a 911-type response standard, no delays tolerated.

if you were PO with your boy friend then this is going to be the icing on the cake. First the world doesn't revolve around you and your problems.Second you are an adult and could have called a cab or what ever to go to a motel. He was with his kids and it may have been just as important to him. also If you have ever called him in your time of NEED, and it was as frivolous as this time I would have hung up on you as well. You are an adult not a 12 year old that fights with her mom. You need to look at your attitude and find out why you are so needy, and why you think every one should comply with your wishes. I know I do not have the whole story, I have given this opinion on what you have written and only that.

He was wrong for hanging up on you so abruptly, but apparently he realized that as he decided to pick you and your daughter up. It looks like he didn't take the matter seriously at first, and you might have taken it to seriously at the end. You two should have talked this through after the fact rather than just end it in my opinion. I'm sure you could still try to work it out.

Your boyfriend dealt with this situation in harsh matter. I know you've already gotten rid of him, but evaluate why he reacted in this matter. And does he treat you like this when you are in need any other time? If he does then move on. You are his significant other and you should come first. If his children were still young I'd state different. You'll be okay either way.

It sounds like there's more to this than you're letting on, and there are definitely issues with you living with your mom in the first place if you have a DAUGHTER, but we'll ignore that and answer your question.

The guy sounds like a self centered jerk and you did the right thing by cutting him loose. While I don't necessarily agree that he should have dropped what he was doing and come running (it definitely wasn't a life an death situation, now was it?), he could have shown a little compassion and understanding by not hanging up on you.

Do you feel validated yet?

If you ask me, he dodged the bullet!

I suppose this is a 50/50 situation. YES- You did the right thing as to dump him because, as you said, he cared nothing about you in your time of need. But- NO- Now listen to how he feels. You wanted the right thing for you & your kid & he was just trying to have quality time with his kids. (adults) I guess you did the right thing for you, but maybe not for him.

Hello, and sorry to hear about your dilemma with your boyfriend yet he does have a family outside of your relationship and a little more understanding from you would be nice i am sure, maybe you jumped the gun there and were just to upset at the time with your mom and not knowing it you were actually taking it out on your boyfriend that didn't even have anything to do with your argument between you and your mom.please girl have some though for him and possibly a side dish of mercy.ty for listening ,yours truly chip d.

I think you are selfish. You need to realize young or old his kids will always come first before you. Or if he is any kind of man, they will. He could've done things a little differently, but that doesn't mean you should've dumped him. If I were him, I would probably be better off without you anyway.

You've already screwed-up your daughter's life once before by leaving her father, and now you're dating some else with kids? What are you thinking. Why don't you put your daughters interest before your own and apologize to your mom so you can go back where you belong before you screw up any more.
Your boyfriend put his kids first, which is what he should always do. Neither of you should be dating until kids are all grown and on their own.

People don't always ask "how high" when we say jump...perhaps he didn't understand the urgency of your situation...it sounds to me like you ended this relationship prematurely because you are angry...

If you are going to end things with people every time they don't do as you desire right then, you're likely to lead a very lonely life...

Even if he was in the wrong, was it really worth ending things over? If so, then it must not have been much of a relationship to begin with, so you're better off not wasting anymore of your time with him...

Geez, cut the guy some slack. He DID call you back. Just not fast enough for you. He does have a life and he was with his kids. It doesn't matter that they are adults. You're going to have a tough time if you expect people to jump every time you snap your fingers. He's your boyfriend, not your servant!
