an 11 year old girl shouldn't be worried about her weight. no one should be worried about her weight.

when we were kids our neighbor was a large boy. not so much tall as round. right up to about 13 years old. then he grew.......and boy did he grow..........within a year he went from a chubby kid to a 6'3" stringbean who couldn't gain weight no matter what. no kidding, he would eat non stop and not gain an ouce....but by the time he was 17 he had gained enough weight, filled out and is now a pretty healthy looking fella!

my point is, nature will take its course, don't mess with it, and as far as people here saying you are overweight they have no clue what they are talking about. none of us know your size, your build, your family traits, nothing about you. don't mess with dieting...........its a dangerous area to get into when you are so young! i am sure your mom and dad are level-headed parents and are telling you the same thing.
don't worry about it, as long as you are healthy, active, happy and getting lots of fresh air and enjoying life!

My 11 year old daughter is 5"1' and she weighs about 110. She's not over weight at least by her doctor. Though, her doctor suggested she get more exercise. You can ask your doctor when she goes in for her check up.

You could institute a "family walk" or sign her up for an after school program. Adding a little bit of exercise into her routine can help her, either slim down or just firm up. It's helped my daughter.

Just do your best to not make her feel "fat". Girls develop that all on their own!

you are able to constantly verify the physique mass index. seek on google for BMI and there will be a lot of websites, %. those the place you would be asked to go into the age. you in addition to mght (probable) will could convert pounds to kilograms and four:8 to metres. The BMI will then prepare you in case you're weight is to no longer lots on your individual age and length. style regards.

4'8" is very short. my granddaughter is 12, 5'4" and weighs 45kg /99lbs which a good weight/height ratio, so 96lbs at that height is probably a little over, but not enough to do anything drastic. a little more sport and a few less goodies will fix it
