I have recently gotten divorced from a women I was with for 10 years. She had an "awakening" that her life and our relationship was not what she needed it to be. So she decided she had to leave the relationship. When I tell you we had a great relationship, never really argued, enjoyed the same things in life, I mean it. All things pointed to having a perfect relationship until this "awakening". Since this I have heard at least 10 more stories exactly the same. A women in her early 30's did a 180 and left a relationship or marriage, leaving the man stunned becuase he had no signs that there was such a serious problem.

Sometimes, couples believe they have good, healthy, honest relationships until one of them start thinking about how much he/she knows the other person?
I have also heard of ex-couples who have been together for more than 10 years and get separated, divorce for little things such as tooth-brushes! I know it sounds crazy, but that problem tends to happen when we don't provide the time, careness and understanding to any relationship. Sometimes when we think everything is fine, is a sign to start evaluating, asking and listening to the other individual's concerns and problems within the relationship. There is no such thing as a couple that never argues...it is healthy to have arguments...not fights...in every relationship!!!

There you have it. That's life. Messy, unfair, illogical and cruel.
You know what? It happens, and instead of wallowing in your misery, take some time to heal and move on.
Incidentally, when people marry in their twenties, they may not fully know who they are and what they want out of life, and it goes for both men and women. Some men leave when they are fifty to date a woman half their age. Awakening, or mid-life crises?
Who knows. It is said that woman reach their sexual peak at 36-38. This may be a contributing factor.
In any case, we all want to be happy, and sometimes the road to fulfilment is littered with broken hearted ex-spouses.

Maybe she got married too soon. Many people say wait until you have an adult life. YOu have a career and home/apt of your own.
Some get married out of convience or they like the same thing and they get along they get married.

Look at it as a chance to have time for you. Find what you like, do what you like.

Sorry to hear about your story but it can be a good thing for you.

Yeah, I dont know why this happens. Its like a mid-life crisis but usually this happens when a woman hits her forties.
My ex sister in law did the same thing, but their were signs their marriage was in trouble. They just ignored them.
I dont know what the deal is.

The sexual peak that males reach in their late teens, hit women in their early 30s. It's hormonal. It doesn't excuse their actions. Cheating is still cheating and it's still wrong. It's just that time in life that women have villified men for coming to bite them. Don't you just hate the double standard?

She lost interest in you. When she met you, you were interesting to her. 10 years later, you probably hadn't grown, maybe didn't groom so well, farted and burped and thought it was funny, blah, blah, blah. You were boring.

I am sure there were red flags that her interest was waning, but you probably figured that was OK. Now you know it isn't OK. That is the lesson here.

Men have been doing the same thing for years. They get an itch & want to explore.
