Huge scam...DON'T deposit the check unless you want to owe that amount of money. I got the same thing. An award certificate that stated with lucky numbers 12-23-15-27-33 I won 120,000 and recieved a check for $2995.70. My claim agent, however, was Brenda Foster (the claim agent is the only thing that is different on these letters). Don't fall for this rediculous scam. Rip the check up, give them a call and act like you deposited it and have some fun with the fools.

I GOT THE SAME LETTER AND A CHECK FROM LOS ANGELES BUSINESS JOURNAL,THIS WAS ALL SENT TO ME FROM THE IMPERIAL FOUNDATION LOTTO. I WAS TO CALL A PERSON BY THE NAME TONY SMITH. HE TOLD ME TO DEPOSIT THE CHECK AND WIRE THE MONEY TO A PERSON WITH THE NAME NICOLE ANDERSON. WELL I TOOK THE CHECK TO MY BANK AND THEY REFUSED TO CASH OR DEPOSIT THE CHECK, TELLING ME IT IS MORE THEM LIKELY A SCAM. MY BANK SAID I WAS TO CALL TONY SMITH BACK AND THAT IF THIS WAS REAL THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO WIRE TO MY ACCOUNT THE MONEY, BUT PLEASE REMEMBER NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER, EVER. GIVE JUST THE ROUTING NUMBER TO YOUR BANK. SO I DID, I CALLED TONY SMITH TOLD HIM THIS AND HE SAID HE WOULD CLEAR IT UP AND CALL ME BACK. WELL HE DID NOT. I EMAILED THE LOS ANGLES BUSINESS JOURNAL TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THE CHECK I GOT, JUST DID THAT, SO I HAVE NOT HEARD YET FROM THEM. MY BANK GAVE ME NUMBER TO CALL NOW I WANT TO GIVE THIS INFORMATION TO EVERYONE, SCAMS LIKE THIS RIP OFF LOTS OF PEOPLE, PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU, AND THEY WILL DO SO, BUT I FEEL IF WE ALL GANGED UP ON THESE PEOPLE AND GET THE WORD OUT THERE, LESS AND LESS PEOPLE WILL GET THEIR HOPES UP AND START DREAMING OF HOW THEY WILL SPEND THE MONEY, JUST TO GET SCAMMING AND HAVE TO PAY BACK SO MUCH MONEY. SO PLEASE LETS PULL TOGETHER AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE. SEND EVERYTHING YOU GOT IN THE MAIL FROM THESE PEOPLE TO THIS ADDRESS OR CALL
