Yes, it's an amazing thing to do. Most people never do this, never take seriously this question, "What am I?" The answer is almost overwhelming. I am...
- my perceptions
- my thoughts
- my feelings
- my imaginings
- my needs
- my desires
- my goals
- my knowledge
- my skills
- my experience
- all my many memories...so much history!
- my values
- my beliefs
- my attitudes
- my personality
- my physical body
- above all, my character...the degree to which I am strong in personal attributes such as courage, honest, persistence, patience, dedication, compassion, etc.
I am all these things...to be self-aware, to be aware of all that I am...it's wild! Such a reaonsable, simple question, but the real answer is truly mind-boggling. And yet, I know it's an profound advantage in this challenging world to know, at least in part, who I am.

A minute ago I closed my eyes and asked myself, "What am I?"
I thought "Maybe I am an ice cube."
Then I opened my eyes and remembered that the heater is off.
It was wild!
I might answer one more question before I go in my room and turn on the space heater.
Then I will be up to 2100.
