My mother died recently and during the time of her illness, my brother became executor of the will. Mom had to hide her assets from where she lived and he opened an account, which my brother has access to. I don't know in who's name it was opened with, nor the amounts. My brother is in the state of Florida. Mom resided in New York at the time of her demise. Upon the reading of the will it states that her children (Which is my brother and myself) receive one third each. The remaining third go to her Great-grandchildren (Brothers childrens children) Now I have 3 sons and I don't beleive that a will should be based on the amount of children or who had them, but by leaving it to the origional children equally. What the children want to divide with their children is ok with me. How do I also find out about the accounts. My brother doesn't want to discuss the matter. For all I know their may be a few accounts set up. He was a sneek and never told the truth. My mother never confided in me.
