I was just thinking that the heart only pumps blood around the body, but the brain has the emotions and I think it is the thing that a person gets "feeling love" for someone or something....

Basically you are right.

Emotions, such as love, involve the whole body, but the final result is processed by the brain which decides what emotion it is you are experiencing.

The heart, as you say, is there to pump blood.

It's from both, if you come to think of it your mouth also. Your heart is where your feelings should come from, you just have to think with your brain to say things right.
