It sounds strange, but proper grammar usually does....because most people don't use proper grammar! And it's always "appropriate" because both "money" and "monies" mean the same thing and are both plural. I mean, "pluralized" sounds lame and that's correct!

It's like "Moose's" no plural.. You don't see a herd of Mooses or Messe! it just Moose... Like money... "How much monies do you have?" Doesn't sound right...

Whenever you need to use it. It may sound weird, but, it is the proper way to use it, I had to use it for eviction purposes(no, I evicted someone) and I had to use the term in some of my filings. So, be it weird, it is correct.
