My friend went to a gamestop a few years ago and traded in his badly hurt and damaged PSP, and was supposed to get $12.00 back. But, some dumb cashier gave him about $22.56. Would that be stealing? Please, no stupid answers.
PS: If you can, throw in what the MYSTERY gift is on the Pokemon games and how to get them.

Actually, he said the cashier gave him 2 FLAT ten dollar bills; one on top of the other and didin't realize it until he saw one fall off. Then, his little brother took it and hid it somewhere.

Did your friend point out to them the amount? Also where did the 56 cents come from. I could see giving a twenty instead of a ten by mistake but change? If your friend asked about it and they said that they gave the right amount then nope wasn't stealing. Otherwise yeah kinda. In fairness they steal too.

No it was a mistake. He could have gone back and given the extra change to the cashier, but now it's too late. It's several years later.
Don't worry about it and next time give the change back.

Yes, unless you friend didn't realize it! Of course it is, but I would give an exception if say he was home then realized, ok I know you don't wanna have to go back but if he did think about what your friend could do to you
They take the $$$ out of the cashiers pay or can fire him saying he STOLE

That's the cashier's fault. I mean, how can he make a mistake between 12 bucks and 22.56?
Besides, it's several years ago, so there's really nothing that you can do about it.

I wouldn't consider it stealing, but I do think that your friend should have given back the extra money. Just because it wasn't 'officially' stealing, that doesn't make it the right thing to do. And sorry, I know nothing about Pokemon.

Thats called the cashier making a mistake, not "your friend." This person is not expected to bring the money back, but it may get you some good karma.

It could be that the true value was the amount given, however you failed to double check sooooo you clearly took advantage of this, in your own mind. the good news is that its not to late to give back the balance who knows maybe the girl got fired?????hope not...
