common courtesy? Nothing makes me more angry than people I say "hello" to that don't have the courtesy to answer. I'm not looking for a long-term relationship! Just a little courtesy! Sheesh. (I'm talking about co-workers that are too full of themselves....)

It seems people are lacking manners these days. Brush it off still be yourself say hi, if they don't oh well. Just don't be like them be polite like you already are..

Yeah i know exactly what you mean....i think that everyone deserves a level of respect and a show of common courtesy. I dont whats so hard about that either to be honest with you...and hey im sorry that your co-workers treat you that way...but dont let it spoil your day, alright? You´re a nice person and its their loss for ruining their own chance of getting to know you.

Yes, courtesy is a good thing, especially in the workplace. Too many peeple ferget about being polite to their coworkers. Dragon gets upset when peeple don't say pleese and thank you at work, cuz they feel like they shouldn't hafta. Grrr... Dragon is berry big on politeness to coworkers.

My favorite saying when courtesy or customer service is lacking in the workplace or someplace I go, I simply say, "You know, if you don't like your job, you don't have to work here." and walk away!

I completely agree, I am always saying hello to the people in my apartment complex and they usually ignore me. Except the mexicans they are nice and they barely speak english.

i work w/ a woman that will actually walk to the otherside of the hall,if we are in the same hall.She nevers says a word to me,unless shes critisizing my job. Btw~we do the same thing and shes not better at it than I am.

There is, it's called manners. People with good manners say hello to people they know, even if they aren't going to have a conversation with this person. People with bad manners ignore others.

I always say hi but i don't always get one back. I agree some people are lacking in that department. My favorite thing to do in life is to always be polite and courteous to everyone.
