Okay I dont see what was so dificult about my question earlyer... All I wanted to know is what team looks like the best to break into the BCS bowl game like Utah and Boise did... I did not mention anything about the National Championship... I mean how can you claim to be the National Champion... Because Coaches and Press feel that you are deserving... Do what every other Div is doing playoff...

So Lets do this again... I feel that Hawaii out of the mid majors with it's incredible JC recruiting class ranked 8th in the nation... 4 of 8 are JC all americans and one is former recruiting gem from Nebraska... most on defense... Has the best shoot... But if not Hawaii then who? BYU, TCU, Boise, Fresno... WHO? please dont leave any remarkes about playing BCS teams... For some odd reasons several colleges have pulled out of talks with Hawaii... or requested to get out of playing us next season...

You can't include West Virginia as they play in a BCS conference. Besides, the Mountaineers have been good for a number of years.

Out of the non-BCS leagues, I keep looking for Southern Mississippi to break through, but they never seem to be able to. Right now, I'd look for possibly UTEP to make the next step up.

West Virginia. They have a world class QB / RB combo coming back as juniors, and they got some great recruits on signing day. They're in a conference nobody respects (The Big East - which, by the way ended up 4-0 in bowls last year and had two top ten teams in the final polls), and even if they go undefeated, no one will say they deserve to play in the championship game.

Boise State will again stand the best chance of getting to the BCS game from the mid-majors. It's because they still will still have the weakest schedule of all the top mid-majors. Outside of traveling to pac10 pansy Washington, they play no one outside of their conference and not much in conference either.

Hawaii on the other hand will be playing at either Michigan or USC, both expected to be fighting for a birth in the BCS national championship game.

JC players are very hit and miss, even all-american ones. Even the ones that will be good will not be all that helpful in the first few games. They were playing at a whole different level in junior college and need to get up to D-1A speed.

For a mid-major to make it, they still have to go undefeated. Therefore it helps to have the weakest schedule of all contenders for that spot.

TCU still has a leg up on the MWC, and I think it has the best chance if TCU beats Mack and the Horns in Austin this year.
