Lots of winter snow- global warming causes some place to get more snow
Some say it causes more extremes. Funny living in Washington DC I can remember summers during the 1990's where it was in the 90's almost everyday. The last few summers have actually been cooler harldly ever breaking 90. Global warming? Sure, whatever.

I so agree with you - and if Gore can live like he can - why do I need to cut back on anything - I am sure that he uses way more resources in a day than I do in a month - three homes - private jet. yea Al - tell me more lies LOL I'm giving you a star! :)

Global warming is a hoax. When will people actually realize this and that it's a ploy to have us even more controlled then we actually are.
They say they want to rid our ozone of hundreds of tons of carbond dioxcide. Ok, now for the quick science lesson. PLANTS LIVE OFF THE STUFF TO TURN TO OXYGEN THAT WE BREATHE!!! It is not harmful, hell that's what we breathe out when we take breathes.
Now they want to propose a global carbon tax to limit us from traveling. That sounds like control to me. They're saying if we don't have a viable new fuel source for planes that in the next 30yrs, only the wealthy will be able to fly. They say the planes produce tons of carbon dioxcide into the air. I'll reference my last paragraph on the solution for this.
So here's my solution. Keep our gas guzzling cars, maybe we'll find a way to have replenishable source of energy. But until then, let's do our part, plant more trees and other vegetation that strive on CO2 and write our congressmen and tell them our concerns for the GLOBAL CARBON TAXATION.

Sure, - Whatever will really work when the next Tsunami hits Washington DC, wake up and smell the coffee, you are polluting the planet, take some responsibility for your actions. The only people refusing to accept global warming are Americans who by coincidence happen to be making billions of dollars out of global warming industries.

Global warming is a sham pushed by Liberals and ecofascists with the goal of making America into a Socialism where every city is some bizarre Biosphere. Since we will not be able to burn any fuel for fear of it getting over 37 degrees at night and causing polar bears from swimming to America and eating children off the beaches, we will all be forced to live outside clad in thick sponge rubber suits and eating herbs and roots.
Sounds like Paradise to me...sheesh

Wow, I am neither a liberal or an ecofacist... I just find it hard to believe that nothing odd is going on w/ the Earth when it was in the high 70's during January in VA and now it hasn't gotten above 24. Call me crazy, but maybe global warming is real.

Actually, the research is a lot more sophisticated (and less extreme) than that, if you look at the actual experts. For example, the recent UN study found an 80% chance that humans were to some extent responsible for possible global warming. Scholars rarely speak in huge either/or generalizations.

You have to understand. Global Warming adherents are hell-bent on destroying our way of life, our very country. It is an agenda, to reap havoc on our economy. These people are guilt ridden. They feel so sorry for other less fortunate countries, the have-nots. The only way to adequately spread the misery is to enact the Kyoto Treaty. This would so wreck our economy as to bring us down to the level of a 3rd world country. This is their ultimate goal, to destroy the USA.
Global Warming is the biggest hoax perpetrated on the masses since Ponzi's scheme.

global warming-yada, yada. who's to say that the Earth doesn't just cool and then heat up? It's all part of nature -afterall, we do live on a huge rock that has molten lava at the center. The Earth has probably always done this there just isn't enough research wayyyyyy back then.

Science has PROVEN that the earth goes through climate swings, NATURALLY, every couple of hundred years.
There is NO SCIENTIFIC PROOF that global warming is caused by man.
People need to listen to science, not politics.

It's one of those issues that varies depending on which scientist you ask. But the people who believe in it blame everything that ever happens on global warming, including the ice age, aids, Carrot Top being famous and the death of Anna Nicole Smith.
