My pick is Gerald Green. The guy is freakishly athletic beyond belief. He showed no mercy in the high school slam dunk competition and won that hands down. He later left people in awe in the high school all star game with the basketball between the legs dunk. During the Vegas summer league he flew and dunked on a tall center bringing a quiet audience to their feet. Last year he made nba.com's best dunk with Allen tossing it off the backboard and he caught it for a windmill dunk. Its one thing to control the basketball and performing the windmill, but to catch the ball in air and perform the windmill is just absurd! According to Tony Allen, he's performed dunks during practice that would involve the Celtic banners up top. Green has already said he's got a dunk planned out that would possibly incorporate Paul Pierce being in there and Tony Allen says Green has a dunk that could possibly rate in the top 10 in HISTORY! At least Green is taking this event SERIOUSLY and PASSIONATELY unlike many players out there. Just give the trophy to him now.

If nate robinson can beat Igoudala after missing 20 dunk attempts anything is possible. Gerald Green should win unless somebody comes up with something never seen. which will be hard 2 do with Dr. J vince Carter and Jordan as judges

To be totally honest who cares. I mean I rememeber when the slam dunk contest used to be almost bigger than the game itself. But now it just sucks. I think what they should do is voting for the dunk contest as well by letting the fans decide. At least that way if they decide not to participate it will show the fans that they could care less and thus bring forth a somewhat negative image of themselves. I remember when guys did everything they could to be a part of the dunk contest it now it's like no one cares. These stars are getting to big for themselves.
Sorry about that outburst. But to answer your question Green from the Celtics.

Well Gerald Green is a dunker, not a Vince or a Jordan, but he's still the most impressive "in-game dunker" of the four dudes. So I'll take my chances with him.
I don't think it'll be a very good dunk contest, in all honesty. It lacks a man named Iguodala.

I swear to god dude, ive been asserting the precise comparable element in view that final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. James White and Carney are going to be insane in the dunk contest. I advise, white with the freethrow line throughout the time of the legs, and carney commencing a robust foot and a a million/2 previous the freethrow line and in easy terms a sprint lacking it, theyre going to tear it up. then iguodala's gonna are available with some loopy imaginitive element like final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and blow one and all away. and josh smith.. properly.. he's so stylish, he can in certainty pull off notwithstanding dunk he needs without single complaint. so pumped for this yrs dunk contest.

Gerald Green is sick.... I'm going w/ him... I remember him jumping over all the way over 7 foot 3 Zydrunus Ilgauskus in a game at the end of the 05-06 regular season and almost throwing it down instead he lost control and dropped it in as he went tumbling to the ground.

Who really cares anymore. It's weak now, and an utter waste of time. I'd rather watch my "processed" expelled food swirl around in my toilet. A real slam dunk contest would have Kobe vs. LeBron vs. Vince vs. T-Mac.
Fu ck GGerald Green, Nate Robinson, Dwight Howard....they'd be no better than 6th place in a REAL contest.
