Can anyone tell me where i could find a 1990 Yamaha DT50 right hand side panel (the one that covers the exhaust)

Hi, depends on which style of bike you prefer. Both have the same engine so no diference there in regards to which one is more reliable. Really is just a choice of which you prefer, although from a re sale point of view the DT would be easier to sell, with less depreciation. Personally if i was going to have one, the TZR 50 looks the part, until you ride off. Where as the dt 50 looks good and everyone can forgive the buzzing engine noise due to the type of bike. I would buy the DT. On the other hand if you are looking to progress onto bigger sports bikes in the future ie when 17 then the TZR will give you a good feel for the riding position, cornering etc. Both nice bikes though for what they are. RS 50 is also pretty good, and dont believe the reliablity probs, we have had the best results on the dyno and tuning RS's over the years. Just remember if you treat the engine right, service it when you should and warm them up before ragging down the road they will last extremely well. Have fun, but be safe.
