i m chinese born in hong kong, and i hav being in england since i was 10 and was in australia when i was 7ish.
the thing is i just finished school in Bath (lovely place to live in, beautiful city) and now i m studying in a uni in east london. i hav been in uni for around 6 months and i feel really uncomfortable being around a class of 100ish people and around 95% african and indian. i am not a racist and i know that because in my old school in bath i am friends with everyone (i mean everyone apart from people not nice to me but thats like 2 people)
so is this suppose to be normal feeling for someone having had most of their live living with majority of white. or is it cos i m not settling into there culture or something.

ps this is totally not a racist comment or anything, so if u feel i m being racist i sincerely apologies for it

I would feel the same, too, in your shoes. Countries are losing their national character and even if I could be part of the cause of such a change, I do not like it. But it is always dependent on how we have been taught to think....

I know how you feel.If it's the uni I am thinking of, my son studied there, and felt as you feel. Is there no-one you can team up with, so you don't feel quite so alone?
