Although some people are born with the right genes to enable them to fulfill certain things in life because of the healthy eating habits of their parents, I also believe hard work and dedication can result in one accomplishing great goals, which were already on the list of things to be done by the person.
Yes, I do believe that we are each predestined before birth by the Almighty creator to accomplish certain functions on earth. But how one goes about accomplishing his or her mission will depend on preparedness or the lack thereof.

Genius (whatever it is) takes genetics and the right environment. It does not matter how hard some prople work; they will always be average or poor at certain things in life. Some people cannot give an effective 'A' speech to save their lives. They simply are not eloquent and no amount of training can make them eloquent. I have seen the same thing happen in philosophy. Some folks just were not born to reason, infer or think deeply on matters beyond the sensible realm. To be a genius in any endeavor takes the right genes and the proper upbringing. Then again, there are some people who accomplish many good things in life because they make use of what they have, in contrast to some "smart" folks who are lazy. But, I don't think people are "predestined" to be geniuses. One can have all the potential in the world and do nothing with it.

Genius is in the brain. However, a good environment enhances a person's natural abilities and can also increase IQ by a few points. So can correcting hormone and chemical imbalances. I've known someone's IQ to fluctuate between 106 and 146 depending on the test, their chemistry, and their environment. However, that doesn't make them a genius per se. A real genius has a phenomenal memory and reasoning capacity that ordinary bright people, like the one I referenced, does not have. Hope that helps.

This would depend on how you define "genius". The standard excepted definition of genius is anyone having an IQ over 130.
A person could be considered a genius in one subject or another with concentrated effort being applied to learn that one subject. For example a man who has spent 25 years installing Heating and Air equipment could be considered a Heating and Air genius.

"genius" is not a thing that you can earn or work yourself into. You either have it or not. This is not to say that one who is not a "genius" cannot achieve great things in this earth, it will just take a lot of effort to make the same trip.

I flatly deny "predestiny" in any form. I do however think that some have more access to areas of their brains..a greater capacity for processing information.....a genetic fluke or enhancement (either way), if you will. But predestined? No, no, no.....

you know i think things like this sometimes.. i feel like my life was already planned out, down to me andwering this question or just x ing out the box and saying for get the computer. i think everything happens for a reason and that it was planned, all the trials and tribulations and all that, down to all thought and changing your thoughts as to not be predestined, well that was already accouted in "the Plan". i don't know anything though, i am just Mightyopinions.

i think that if you are mentally capable, you can do whatever you want to do. but then, you have to ask, was one predestined to believe that they could do anything, and were they predestined to try?
it's a cloudy subject, but yes i agree with both theories interchangeably.
