Logoc has limitations.
In the 1930s, Austrian mathematician Godel proved a
theorem which became the "Godel theorem" in cognition
theory. It states that any formalized 'logical' system
in principle cannot be complete in itself. It means
that a statement can always be found that can be
neither disproved nor proved using the means of that
particular system. To discuss about such a statement,
one must go beyond that very logic system; otherwise
nothing but a vicious circle will result. Psychologist
say that any experience is contingent - it's opposite
is logically possible and hence should not be treated
as contradictory.
One should go beyond the limitations of logic for
the attainment of truth.

Logic or rather *valid logical thinking* can take true premises and guarantee the reasoning to true conclusions based on the true premises, but logic can say nothing about the truth of the premises which often consist of one(1) or more assumptions which are unprovable by logic. Another way of describing logic is that valid logic helps to preserve the truth of the premises if the premises are already true to begin with. Like a chemical catalyst in a chemical reaction, logic neither adds to nor detracts from the truth of the premises, but it helps to derive true conclusions.
There are really two kinds of truths, *tautological truths* which are true by language definition and/or the logic of the language used, be it verbal or mathematical, and *contingent truths* which are true by experience and the logic of experience which is currently tested by the scientific-empirical method. The Truth of the matter in either case is ultimately a metaphysical-ontological philosophical issue and our logics supposedly help to think about them in logically consistent ways. Tautological truth statements are true by notation or/and symbolism of the language and the rules of their formation and manipulation. Contingent truth statements are true by the rules of modern science which from history we know are not only always open to change as our logics change but also are open to change because all our contingent truths (i.e. true knowledge) continues expanding. Ultimately though truths unavoidably depend on untestable or indeterminate assumptions in which logic plays almost no part except in the formulation of the truth statements within the languages we use to think and communicate.

Logic AND education on how the world is can help by overcoming emotional attachments. Especially to the idea that we can somehow live forever or that what we attain in life really matters.

I am not sure that it can. Everyone has their own truth that they live out on a daily basis. my truth is different from your's and your's differant from their's. Therefore logic can not play much of a part when logic requires that everything and everyone is exactly the same....just my thoughts.

Logic is based on truth and the finding that retrieved that truth, therefore, logic is truth.

All i'll say is the fish trap exists because of the fish. Once you've gotten the fish you can forget the trap. The rabbit snare exists because of the rabbit. Once you've gotten the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words exist because of meaning. Once you've gotten the meaning, you can forget the words. Where can I find a man who has forgotten words so I can talk with him?
