This could be sign of nerve compression, or it could be due to arthritis or some other condition. It is best if you see a doctor about this.

It sounds like you may have Carpel Tunnel syndrome - not uncommon these days with all of the repetitive hand movements that we all do (typing especially!)
I would call your Dr. and make an appointment for an evaluation - the earlier you catch it, the less damage you will have to deal with.

There is a little nerve in your elbow and you could have pinched it. I fell once and landed on my elbow. I couldn't feel anything for while in my hand then gradually got feeling back. You should see a doctor just in case.

do you smoke? if not, forget this.........
but if you do, that sometimes happens. It's called Raynaud's phenonmenon (sp?) it has to do with your blood flow and certain problems that smoking causes. It usually happens to the pinky and ring finger.......

I would recommend seeing your doctor who may send you to a hand specialist. (I'm serious, I know a doctor who only specializes in conditions of the hand)

are you taking any prescription water pills? that would do it. In any case, this could be a sign of bad circulation/coronary angina so go see a doc.
