I would like to hear from Egyptians or other Middle Eastern people about dating Westerners. I have been dating an Egyptian guy for a little while now and we are spending a lot of time getting to know each other. So far we haven't come across any serious barriers in terms of cultural differences etc. I am just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this type of intercultural dating? What do you think would be the biggest barriers? He is from Alexandria, can you tell me anything about what type of city this is (conservative, liberal etc.)? Are there any big cultural differences between Egyptian culture and that of other Middle Eastern countries? What are some things that I should consider or definitely ask him about to help me determine a little more about our compatibility?

Most Westerners believe this intercultural pairing is a joke and will never work because Middle Eastern men only want to use and abuse Western women. I would like to hear a different perspective...

Knowing some one & getting involved in a relationship, is something people think about, even if they belong to the same culture.

So, when you meet a guy from different culture/religion, things – may get hard -. Relationships are in many aspects are hard & need efforts.

My friend dated an Arab guy & now they are married – very much in love -
I saw some clashes at the begging of their marriage but all disappeared by time & communication.

When they get married, they both brought their cultures, personality, history, & experience to the marriage. However, the key word here is – compromising – up to some level to make life easier. Things will start getting better day-by-day. The love & the respect you have for each other will make you & him discovering new things about life that you will admire & appreciate.
I am telling you, if you are in love and ready to learn more without judging, you will have a great relationship & trust me, you will enjoy it to the end.
Take your time to know him & ask him questions. I think he is the one who will let you know everything you need to know.

Relax & have fun.
Good luck

i guess it probably depends how old you are and where YOUR from
egyptians are probably the most open minded middle easternersers<<<<< that word confuses me.
anyways, as long as you 2 understand each other, i think everything will be fine
i dont know about egyptians, but other arab countries sometimes dont support dating, especially a western person... (the parents dont support it, usually) and it gets worse when they get serious and plan to get married (again, i dont know if this applies also to the egyptians)

but as i said, as long as you understand and like each other dont let anything come between you
good luck! wish you both the best

My husband loves that I actually have a suggestions of my personal and am no longer afraid to argue with him and tell him he's faulty. i bypass to school finished time, I paintings finished time in the course of the summer (area time throughout the time of faculty), I carry out with my associates, i bypass out to bars, i'm no longer having youngsters till i'm waiting....center *** adult men as an finished are not any further controlling and sexist. end searching on the extremists, they do no longer outline the life-style.
