Ask the local hospital for a list of pediatricians that:
A) treat kids there
and
B) see newborns there.
Call a few and make appointments. Pick ones close to your house, for appointments and in your preferred Gender. Have interviews with them to determine what you like/dislike about how they do things, their medical philosophy, and they way they handles things like emergencies, hospitalizations, etc. Pick the one you like best, and ask them if they will accept the baby as a new patient.

As for the OB ask around people you know. Or ask the nurses at the pediatrician's offices who delivered their kids. Or ask at the hospital. get some good recommendations and see who can get you in the soonest.
