I'm a freshman and I am attending to take a total of 5 AP's my highscool classes because I want to go to NYU. The AP classes are going to be language arts and social studies. If I make good grades in the AP classes and have some clubs and finally have a good SAT score. Will that be enough to get in cuz I am just sticking to honors science and CP math.

Make sure you have some extracurricular activities and perhaps some social service activities along with your good grades. Also, an ACT or SAT prep course before you take the exam your junior year may help. Good luck.

Take a look at the NYU website and you'll get a better idea. You may want to call and speak with someone in admissions - call during the week in the middle of a semester and they'll have more time to chat. My daughter only took one AP class, took 4 years of language, and went to NYU.

I would check out their website:

http://admissions.nyu.edu/

That should give you some info. But that sounds like a good start. Make sure you stay on top of it though, I also wanted to go to NYU but kind of slacked off the last two years and screwed it up. Oh well.
Cheers.
