I think that you should have def. said something. Like you said, you paid good money and with good money should come good quality. I believe that if you would have said something the problem would have been fixed. With my experiences, they will always do something about it, they want to keep your business. They know that negative talk spreads faster than positive talk...
Its not too late...you may be able to do something now. just call and talk to the manager. Explain what happened and tell them that maybe they looked too busy esp. because it was valentines that you didnt want to make a big deal or bother them... they should do something about it! If they dont then I would take my business. elsewhere and let them know that. Bad news travels faster!!!! But do remember that if they treat you good do not be afraid to tell people!
Girl you need to stand up for yourself!!!!
Hope this helps!

Ok i will have to say that no mater what the plate cost if the food was no good then yes you should say something, all you can do is just tell the waitress that it is over cooked and that you are unable to eat it and if nothing elc will do ask her to please remove it from your bill.
Now that you did not say anything about it you can try calling the resturant and just let the manager know that you came in last night and that the waitress did a real good job and al but the food was over cooked and that you were unable to eat it and that you just wanted to let them know this and you never know they (some places do this) put you down for the next time you come in your food is free.
well good luck and just give them a call

It doesn't matter if you pay $3 or $300 for a meal. The point is you are paying. If the meal is not to your liking, too spicy, tough or just plain horrible, get the servers attention and tell them politely that you are unhappy with your meal. They should remove the dish and offer you a menu. Unless of course you already know what you'd rather be eating...If you are still bothered, write a simple note to the restaurants corporate owner or the managements at the establishment. They will respond, its bad customer service to ignore a complaint written or verbal.

You're paying good money for that food, and it should be edible. You should have politely mentioned it to the waitress. It doesn't matter how fancy or how plain the restaurant is, if you are unhappy with the food, or the service, you need to tell someone. There would be no need to cause a scene or anything, but quietly asking the waitress to take a plate back to the kitchen would not be out of line. Usually they bend over backwards to accommodate their guests and they want you to be happy. Happy diners make for happy repeat customers.

You sure should! But... Do it after you have finished and are exiting the restaurant. I would never suggest complaining while dinner is in progress for obvious reasons. You paid quite a bit for a nice meal prepared the way you wanted it. You are totally within you rights to bring it to the managements attention.
I have seen too many reality shows and Dateline type shows about what people who are disgruntled do to customers' food. You see it on hidden camera shows all the time. Spit, urine, and all kinds of foreign substances have been placed in dishes. Even drugs. Honeychild... Next time make it known to the management. If that doesn't work... Tell them your father works for the Health Department and the next time it happens you will give him a call and have them shut down. (This is only if the management takes no responsibility and gets testy when approached!)

Definately. You are paying good money for a romantic Valentine's dinner. I would have spoken to the manager of the restaurant, if not that very same evening, then really in order not to distract the event that it is meant to be, then certainly the following day. As well, I would not have given a tip to the waiter or waitress. By doing so would add insult to injury, and would give the impression that you had enjoyed the meal.

Always complain to the appropriate person if you don't like something. That way you leave happy, and are willing to go back there if they address the situation properly. Most restaurant managers will simply take the meal off your bill and offer you something else. It's a cost associated with keeping the customer happy. If you're not rotten about it, the waitress or waiter will not be rotten to you.

If I wasn't happy with the way my food was cooked, I would nicely tell the waiter waitress. It's not their fault how it was cooked, unless of course, he or she neglected to write on the check "rare" or "medium," whatever your preference was. If your meat was tough, they cooked it well done (the way I prefer it cooked). The waitress should tell the manager if it's a decent place. Then they should either cook your food the way you want it or else subtract your meal from the bill. There is too much competition out there now and restaurants should please the customers or else they will eat elsewhere next time.

I know what you mean, you should definately say something politely. Just tell them the quality of the food is not really satisfying you and you would like them to fix it. The key factor is to be polite and nice about it! The servers wnat your good tip so they shouldn't complain that you're complaining! You can even tell the manager, don't go off on the server's as they aren't at fault, they're not the ones cooking the food. It's your money, and you should enjoy what you're paying for.

Most waiters DO want to hear from you if you don't like the food. They want you to be satisfied and earn a big tip. If you are polite and explain that your dish is "under/over cooked" or cold, etc then they will most likely rush to make it right for you. Give them at least a chance to make it right; and be sure to tip well anyway; they aren't doing the cooking, remember. I also have found in many cases the manager will come over and apologize and maybe even give you a free desert or another glass of wine, etc. They key is to be nice, and polite about it.
