From crutch to ankle via the knee youd expect to use 5'6" of tape but assuming this will cause drag, restricting the giraffe's gate, we would follow the line to the ankle from the crutch, ignoring the bow, allowing for an average bow angle or 135 degrees, you would have approx 4'6" give or take a hem line.

I failed in my task to discover the answer to this question. He didn`t mind it when I measured the front legs, but when I attempted to do the back inside measurement, he kicked me out of his enclosure.
