I am a stationer and ordered my stock of academic diaries last month and expect to receive them early in March. Usually we get the more expensive fashion diaries first and the cheaper contract diaries a little later. The last one we get is the Filofax academic diary refills.
We do have academic year planners in stock and you might try getting one of these if it will help - they are not exactly portable.

Not sure if they are out yet, but you could try W H Smiths. They normally have diaries with similar dates for students.
