I kept mine. Just because the marriage was annulled doesn't mean that it didn't happen, and that the time while the "marriage" was going is just a blank period of time. Let her keep the name, who does it hurt? If she has started a career, and people recognize her by the last name, why should she change it, because he doesn't like it? I don't know the whole situation, but if the two people have no contact anymore, there shouldn't be an issue.

Annulment's are religious. Name changes are not. Of course she can keep her married name.

If she had her name legally changed it might be possible, but from my understanding, an annulment means the marriage never happened, so to speak, so the name change is part of wiping the slate clean and reversing to her maiden name.

She can do as she chooses, but should consider how she feels keeping the name of someone who either betrayed, lied, or for other reasons is no longer in her life. Now is the time for her to "reinvent" herself!
