Seeins as how her singles were already successful in the USA and on the radio, I think it's probably safe to say yes.

sure since she had to "learn" to speak spanish for those albums, I think her english albums would have been great hits.
Her only single is still playing on the radio.
I live in Houston and saw her at the Astrodome at the Rodeo. She was a lovely girl and a good voice, she would have gone far!
I was just in CC a month ago and ate at the Taco place in front of the motel she was shot at. Ever get to go- the breakfast tacos are heavenly.

Ugh this is going to make me all depressed thinking about Selena now. My cousin's dad (my ex-uncle) is/was really close with her dad Abraham..
Anyways, I don't remember much about pre-1995, but I think her CD would be fairly successful had she not gotten shot.

probably a hit song or two, but not nearly to the extent that it was upon her death. the tragedy is part of what made her English album such a success in mainstream America. sad, but true. tragedies bring attention and grab people's interest.

I would like to think so. She was very talented and I loved the English songs of her album I heard like "I Could Fall in Love" and "Dreaming of You."

Most likely not, as most people never heard of her until she died.
