If she is having problems with constipation then you should probably abstain from anal for while to not aggrivate the situation. The advise already given about over the counter laxitives is pretty sound and I'd listen to it.

The thing that I wanted to mention is that anytime anal sex is brought up here at YA the anti anal crowd starts screaming that if you have anal sex you'll loose all control of your bowels. They'll tell you that you'll spend the rest of you life wearing a diaper and all sorts of horror stories. Now the issue is whether anal causes constipation and some seem to be implying that it does. Would you please make up your sexually repressed minds already? The truth is that it does neither but common sense should dictate that if a woman is having diffiulties with constpation then you she give the back door a rest.

If this is just an occasional time of constipation, have her take a mild over-the-counter laxitive. Dulcolax works very well, and it's not very harsh.
If it lasts more than 5-7 days, she needs to see a doctor. And yes, discontinue the anal activities for a few days.

Uh, yes. Duh. Lay off the anal for a while. Tell her to eat plenty of fiber, such as flax seed or Metamucil. Or try an enema.
