I did not pass out......but I felt a little light headed as a walked out of the office. I read some where it had to do with messing with the cervix and something about the nerves. I can't seem to find where I read that at the moment.

I have not personally had an IUD inserted but I have seen many inserted at the office I work at. We have had one or two women in my time there faint. It's usually due to nerves, or not eating a meal beforehand. Many women are very nervous beforehand and often will hold their breath...it's the same thing as when you get your blood drawn. you have to calm down, relax, and breath. it makes a world of difference.
