You don't say how old you are. That, plus the degree of your responsibility will help with your negotiation. You could arrange some goal with your parents, eg be in by curfew, or keep your room clean for 6 mos or help with a specific list of household daily chores, to indicate your maturity and responsibility. When the time comes to have it done, have your mother or guardian choose the operator which will ensure that the procedure is clean, safe, free of viruses which can ruin your health for years. Share this experience with her and I think she will be very proud of you.

It really depends how old you are.
You can tell them that earrings really mean a lot to you
You could make a bargain with them. Extra chores around the house... cut down on habits that are annoying to your parents.
Ask nicely. That really helps.
Also, how old was your mom when she got her ears pierced??
Until then, wear clip-ons?? Best of luck

Well, if your parents don't want you to get your ears pierced then ask them politley. when i was a new born baby i got mine pierced. I think if you get ears pierced it would be better for younger people! so just ask your parents and say " Mom, Dad, if you pierce my ears then i will be alive" that always works! just remember to act polite to them for a few days before you say that!!

Someone else had answered that if you simply say you are depressed and that everyone else is doing it will only get you the "Well too bad you have mean parents," or " I don't care who has it done" spiel.
If I were you I'd lay off the asking for awhile. Absolute worse case scenario you'll have to wait a few years until your older. More than likely they just aren't ready for you to grow up yet, as frustrating as it is for you. :)

I don't know. I had to wait until I was sixteen to get mine done cos my parents didn't want me to!
You could ask them at the beginning of the summer holidays so that it won't interfere with school and your PE lessons?
I wouldn't advise going behind their backs, not that you would, but it's a slipperly slope and can get you in way more trouble than you need!

Had mine first done in 1975. One of the first guys at Uni to have it done. Folks still went ballistic. They sort of got used to it after 3 in each ear.
Still have them now, and I'm a pillar of the establishment.
Everything comes to he (or she) who waits.
Should that be pillock of the establishment?

ummmmmm, thats a hard one! well, have you tried telling them everyone has their ears peirced at school? You could say its more fashionalble. You could tell them the you feel left out at school as everyone has their ears peirced and you don't.
I don't know if this helps, but i hope it does!
Best of luck!
