Ok so I am planning a trip to Florida for late April or early May. I plan to spend about 4 or 5 days in Orlando doing the theme parks and also am going to take a short Bahamas cruise out of Port Canavarel.

Here's the dilemna:
The 3 night cruise costs about $350 per person and the 4 night cruise costs about $250 per person. The 3 night cruise is on the weekend and the 4 night cruise is midweek. So basically if I take the short cruise it's more expensive but I can visit Orlando mid-week, whereas if I take the longer cheaper cruise then I would be spending my time in Orlando on the weekends before and after the cruise.

Should I pay the extra money and take the shorter cruise so that I can explore the theme parks midweek? Are the themeparks THAT much busier on weekends at this time of year that it would be worth passing on the longer cruise that costs less?

Which would you choose?

During late April and early May the parks aren't that much more busy on the weekends, you only have to worry about that in the summer, so I would definitely choose the four day cruise. If it were in the summer, it would be a tougher decision. I'm so jealous, those are my two favorite things to do! Have fun, great question.

I would probably go for the 4-night cruises. They are relaxing and a ton of fun. If you can, I would go for the cruise after your vacation at the parks, that way you get a real vacation where you can just sit back and relax after doing the park thing.

Since you are going during a spring break time frame, you aren't going to see much difference in the crowds on weekends, it will pretty much be busy the whole week. Weekends will be busier, but I think I would rather deal with the crowds and have a longer cruise. I think that a 3 night cruise is just too short. You no more get on and it is time to get off, but that is just my opinion!

Hope this helps!

I'd do the 4 night cruise and visit the theme parks on the weekend. Disney is crowded all the time. They have a fantastic fast pass program where you can get a ticket with a time stamp and then go back at that time and bypass the line. Then, wait in line for another ride. By the time you are done waiting for the 2nd ride, you'll be able to go back to the fastpass ride and walk on.

You may want to check out the boats. If the 4 night cruise is on a really crappy ship, go for the 3 day ship. If you are deciding between cruise lines, put Carnival at the bottom of your list.

I live by Orlando at that time of year it still isn't that busy, you after our spring break-end of march. And Summer break is end of May/June
I think you will enjoy the Cruise better, relaxing, sea world is very relaxing to.
Check out what parks your going to on line look up complaints and such, some rides have caused the fun to be cut short or off for some, why they continue I don't know...oh yeah the mighty dollar. Research is good research is good!! Enjoy your stay!!

At that time of year, the parks are pretty busy all the time. Not much of a difference on weekend vs weekday.

So, I would suggest you take the longer, cheaper cruise and just put up with the crowds at the parks.

Besides, more cuise for less money? That seems like a no-brainer.

I think I prefer chose the longer cruise because on one part, you will have more night cruise and on the other part, you will spend less and you'll can use this money in order to buy other things in Orlando !
