I have my tickets, and I know they pick people from the audience, but what do they look for in a contestant? I want to make sure they call my name! I've watched the show for 33 years, and now I have only 1 chance to go to California to be on the show.

You contact the studio, wait in line, get picked to be in the audience. It's completely random from there, though. You can do some things to up your chances though. They like big groups, from weird places, with matching T-shirts. But even if you don't get picked to go on the show you still get to watch TV being made....which is a true California experience!

They actually pick those persons that get to contestants row before the show while you are in line. The staff comes around and greets everyone in line, and they pick who would be the most exciting person to be on stage. So make sure you are funny and outgoing while in line, and you will have the best shot!! Good Luck!!

I have not seen the show in a long time but they always seem to get a person for each demographic. They have a person wearing a college sweatshirt, a uniformed army, etc...

They also ask a question before you enter the place so you have to be enthusiastic after waiting in line for a couple of hours.

You can't. They put all of the ticket stubs or something about the people who got the information and then they pick people. All you can do is hope you get called... or pay someone...
