is there anything going on right now that involves america using gun-boat diplomacy, or dollar- diplomacy, or moral diplomacy to gain something? or stop something , and if so what is the event

All of the above... concerning Afghanistan.
Gun-Boat - Still have military force there.
Dollar - Just yesterday, Wed, Bush was talking in his press conference about giving monies to Afgh... in order to boost their economy and give other choices to young men there than joining the Taliban.
Moral - Bush believes we have the upperhand on morality versus Islamic fascists there.
