There is a pretty good description of what happened on Wikipedia. From my understanding, Bush was on the Board of Directors of a corporation called UBC, which had numerous investments in Nazi Germany prior to World War II. These assets were froze during the war and UBC was dissolved after the war. There are a variety of points of view of how much influence and control Bush had over company policy as it related to investments in Nazi Germany.
This whole argument is nothing but a red herring anyway, so it is really irrelevant. You are not responsible for the wrongdoings of your father, or grandfather in this case.

I do not know. But I will venture a guess: He probably supported Hitler like millions of other Americans did when Hitler first started out. After Germany declared war on us? I would assume he supported his country.
People forget that Hitler was an elected official of a legitimate political party in a sovereign country. Many people continued to trade with Germany and support Germany while it was still legal. Nothing criminal about that.

He was President of a company that had some financial interests in German businesses. It's not like he was using his personal money to buy Messerschmidts. There's nothing to it. He's no different that someone who bought German manufactured sauerkraut or beer before the war.

Hmmm, let's see. Were they both alive in the early half of the 20th century? If you're thinking about the Fritz Thyssen thing then get over it. No skeletons there.
