I trusted Carter and look what that got us. As for me, I'm still waiting for another Truman. I think the days of being able to trust any President are over - the type of persons I would vote for and feel are trustworthy have no chance as they are all politically incorrect (and no I am NOT a member of the KKK or any kind of radical). Even Hillary has the taint of Whitewater and the Pork Belly $1000,000 profit that I can never forget about. I have heard (mind you I LOVE the guy) that even Giuliani can be a SOB to people in his inner circle.

As the famous quote goes: Power corrupts, and Absolute Power corrupts absolutely.

P.S.: just because you don't trust someone doesn't make you right - just makes you not trust them. Big difference.

unfortunately the majority of the population are being bombarded with media coverage that is hell bent on making EVERYONE afraid of EVERYTHING.
This would make TRUST nigh on impossible.....in ANYONE or ANYTHING.
The leaders of most countries then play upon this insecurity in order to maximise distrust and ensure that citizens think that the only people they can trust are those that are incorruptible....the so-called Leaders of our countries.
Politicians are not there to be trusted. Greed and power can corrupt nearly everyone......compare children in the playground with politicians and then the only way to get a president you can trust.....is to consider how trustworthy you think you are yourself.....
There has only ever been one leader (anywhere) that if i had to stake my life on them telling the truth, it would be: Mahatma Ghandi
Violence is obviously the key.....and therefore the key to trusting a future leader is their stance on Non-Violence.

or perhaps that's too radical an ideology for a world where there are too many guns, too many wars and too many deaths directly linked to religion.......

so.....in the end.....NOPE....never gonna happen, sorry folks.

We should never trust the President. We should never trust government.

No politician is worthy of trust. No one who makes a career out of ruling others is worthy of the air he breathes or the dirt he walks on.
