How do Republicans and Democrats feel about abortion? How do you feel?

I am a registered Republican but my registration has nothing really to do with where I stand on the issue of abortion. My Christian views do, however. I do not have to go by what other republicans think just because i classify myself as one. I am pro-life. I believe that a human is a living thing at conception. Think about it, for the first two weeks after conception the cells are forming to make a baby, right. Well those cells are alive and multiplying and growing. That can be like you skin or hair. Those cells are always growing and multiplying. At week two there is a beating heart and blood beginning to flow through formed veins. Take it from there and you know what happens next. I belive that there is really no reason to abort a baby. If you don't like the fact that you are pregant why did you have sex. Seeing how that is the only way to get pregnant. You play with fire at some point you get burned. It's just common sense. Then there is the issue of being raped that ALWAYS comes up. It is no ones fault if it happens to you but the person that did it. But there are options that can be taken so that you don't have to KILL a child. Adoption. There are so many couples out there that can't have children that don't care how those babies were brought into this world only that they are here and they may have the chance to be their parents.

Don't know or care how the Big Two parties "feel" about abortion, other than thier seeming to use it as another tool in thier arsenal to retain power.

Personally, I have heard analogies that the early cell formation of a fetus constitutes life, comparable to hair and skin cells. Well, while it is true that hair and skin cells are alive, they are not sapient, and thus do not constitute even on the same scale as the vermin we call exterminators to eliminate. Such comparisons do not hold water in my opinion, as thier logic is inherently flawed.

I would never expect any woman to carry to term an unwanted child. It is ultimately the woman's decision to make, and the current federal law supports that right.

I don't think it's fair for it to be up to ONLY the woman - it's half of the man's DNA in that mass of cells that pro-choicers refuse to acknowledge as life...

Aside from that - I'm pro-life but against banning abortion. Banning it would not make it stop, it would only make the circumstances around abortion more taboo and unsafe. That said, I think that more efforts need to be made to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Mainly, teach about abstinence (what a joke) AND safe sex in schools. Also, make women considering abortion go through counseling to see the alternatives.

Most republicans are against and most Democrats are for it..

Personally i'm only for abortion in certain circumstances such as rape ,incest, or severe deformity.

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I would never have an abortion. For me it would be as I'd kill a part of myself.

Well I can honestly say that I would never have an abortion, but I think it is a woman's right. it's easy to say it's wrong, but until you have walked in those shoes you really don't know what you would do.

Rephrase the question....are you in favor, or against killing babies? If you are in favor, but prefer to do it while the baby is in the womb, then you are pro-choice, and probably Democrat

How I feel is it's a womans choice - and hers only. If you don't have a uterus - or if you have never had a uterus - you have no part in the discussion...

I believe as it is the woman who has to deal with the physical difficulties of pregnancy, it should be her decision, and no one else's.
