to people ,without SSNs , who many believe are illegal...is there a way for someone to find out/track if they have been actually hurt by this...in other words , many people have said they have/will withdraw their accts from B of A, but is there a way to see if that is true?

First, could BoA determine if they have been harmed by the negative public perception. I would say yes. They track account closings and if that number doubled or tripled in a week, it is clear what happened. And I would say they list the reason for a customer closing an account.
BoA may make a public statement regarding this situation, but they most likely would not give specifics.

For specifics, most likely a reporter would have to get an employee to provide internal information.

They are required to identify people before giving them an account. If they are not doing this they are in violation of the patriot act. And while I don't think they will send the CEO to Guantanamo. There may be a fine or other problems.
I don't currently have a BofA account. But if they are providing photo ID for illegals. That is a serious crime.

I'm an employee of BofA and nothing like this is going on. I don't understand why everyone is believing this nonsence.
