Am I able to search for specific places or landmarks on Google Earth using one of the search bars? I can manually zoom in and look, but that's not always easy.

The accuracy of your search depends on what you are searching for. You will actually get the place you are searching for. Specific landmarks can be searched for sure.

I use post codes for places in UK but abroad I tend to first put in a large area like a state, then type in the landmark followed by the state. Or if I know roughly where something is I put in the nearest big town and scout around while it shows up all the smaller town names then zoom in and search. I found a motel in LA that wasnt listed doing this. It was fun. In fact I think ill nip off and see if i can find my cousins house in Pensylvania! He may be in the garden.

Jeanimus if you find him he might have been stood there 3 months or so // Dicky some of the photos are left off purposely and all you will see is a green blank but easily print in country first and then nearest town or so and move in from there you might find that easier
