How is it someone who was so prolific during the 80's 'trying to do the right thing' and has turned out to be a Member of Parliment and won awards for Humanitarian recognition & causes.

Even more- when asked about his views on 'americanization' of Australia, he skillfully dodges the questions.

Is this hypocritical?

Let Me just refresh Your memory.
Let Me just see if I have the salient details at hand.
He studied Law at Uni of NSW.
He helped to start up the Nuclear Disarmament Party, and then ran for a NSW Senate seat in the Australian Federal Election on 1984, and was defeated.
Then He became the front man for the Greens. Then in 2004 He joined the ALP and won the safe seat of Kingsford Smith.
Now He sits on the front bench of the Federal opposition and tells us that He is a 'team player'.
His views on America have also changed since 2004.

Right so far? And Your question is, "Is this hypocritical?" Check?
He started out as a LAWYER. What does that tell You about Him? Or course He is an opportunistic hypocritical political manipulator. And it took how long before the rest of You worked that out? Do You honestly think that He did not aspire to be a politician right from day number one? You think that He is a hypocrit. Good call, mate!
