I like Emma a lot. Unfortunately, so does a large majority of the country. Emma was one of the most common girl names in the last few years.
If you really love it, don't let me dissuade you, however. I would just suggest considering other names that might be similar or have the same feel, too. (Ella, for example).
One other tip I might give you is to consider a middle name that doesn't start with a consonant. The baby-naming "tips" sites all say that the middle name shouldn't start with a consonant if the first name ends in one. Thankfully, Emma Ann doesn't bother me so, but names like "Anna Ashley" have too much of the same vowel sound.
One thing to remember-- don't overanalyze it like I am. If you love the name and you love the baby, it will all fall into place. Best of luck and I hope you choose a name that you love forever.

Emma is good, but not with Ann. Emma ends in a vowel, so to make it flow well, the middle name should start with a consonant, such as Emma Rose, Emma Grace, Emma Renee, etc.
