I am stuck having to support my dead husbands ex-wife because he has alimony arrears.
It is the law. He owed her 3 million dollars. I am ordered to send her
$l000.00per month. Done deal.
She is 77, overweight and smokes. She had a hysterectomy at 45
and lives alone.
How long do you think she will live?

Lets hope for your sake, not very long at all.....lol. What a horrible Law. Your lifestyle would be suffereing terribly, having to pay this woman so much. Your $1,000 is paying for her smoking habit...that is so wrong. I am wondering how you could afford the $1,000 a month yourself...it seems very odd. Surely the Law wouldnt make you pay something that you can't afford. The amount you pay is usually worked out on the amount you earn. I would take this matter to the courts and have it changed. Im from Australia, and we dont have those alimony laws. Maybe, the stress of taking her to court, coupled with the smoking may finish her off sooner....lol.....I dont mean to be flippant, but that is a huge amount to be paying to anyone, and considering she isnt even blood, I would certainly be cranky at having to pay it.

Start taking her gifts like cheese cake and cheetos cheese puffs and stuff like that, maybe some liquor if she like to drink. Don't forget to get her a carton of her favorite cigarettes as well. Good Luck.

Why would you have to pay? This don't seem right at all..3 miillion dollars ..that is alot of money...why so much?
