I would have to say that success is better. When a person is successfull such as having a great paying job, a wondefull family, and a college education, they are far more likely to be happier than a person who is not successfull. They are two totally different things, yet they can also be almost just alike.

For me happiness is a form of success because there isnt alot of people who have happiness but there is alot that have success.
Happiness makes you stand up in the morning with a smile
You could have success but if you are not happy with it then what is it worth

happiness or success can both be hollow, even if someone has both they can still be hollow, what one is successful or happy with and why, how, when, where and with who matter for it to be real and genuine. I think sometimes people can be happy with something when they aught not be, and sometimes there not happy with they aught to be. I also think success is all a state of mind because one set's there own goals and only feels successful when one thinks they've met them well enough. I feel like I'd genuinely want to be successful at what makes me happy and happy with what makes me successful and how I got there.

I think happiness is the consequence of success;that is without success it is very unlikely to achieve happiness no matter what it is based on.
